Sweets Expo
Sweets Expo is a gathering of all things sweet and beautiful , this is our first time to witness such an extraordinary event . The day was filled of workshop dedicated to making pretty things some are free and some are paid . I was starstrucked to see and meet the cake personalities from You Tube.
Verusca Walker garnished a shoe with silicone, she said she was trying to save everyone from extra calories but somehow I disagree this event is not a place for the carbs and sugar conscious we don't really have the time to count calories today.
I watched Margie Carter as she creates a cute little possum from fondant at the Cakers warehouse , while the kids and and Mr Ng tried and tested every edible treats this place to offer .
Here are the sweet stuff my kids and hubby eaten while I'm in the lalaland of cake decorating.
Fairy Floss in a huggable paper cone from Fluffy Crunch.
A very chocolatey donut that wipes out your conscience.
After collecting the free back issue copies of the Sweet Expo Magazine , i have treated myself to a raspberry meringue cake from Passion Tree velvet cafe , the cake is like a modern day version of the classic bombe alaska, the cake was light the filling is tart and the flamed meringue it was delicious , worth the 15 minute queue time.
The expo have also showcased beautiful party tables and gave me lots of ideas and inspiration for future parties and places to hire beautiful things.
I was the happiest child in this expo and the only one who brought home a showbag. Cake Decorating solutions have special sanding sugar 10 for $2 , i was able to get a Lego cake board for $2 as well and cake leveler for $5. The cloud cutter came with the other 2 sets of cutter for $3.
This is my bonus from a cake a made earlier this week. A Unicorn 1st birthday cake .
