Cockington Green
Cockington Green is a must place to visit if you're planning a trip to our nation's capital city Canberra . I have a fondness for little cute doll houses and this place has many, it's a collection of miniature buildings from all over the world the gardens is beautifully cared for. It is open seven days a week and the cost for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids is $56 ( as of june 2017), we needed to add extra $5 for we have 3 kids.
The entrance is like a very charming dollhouse , well it contains a dollhouse museum , a cafe and a gift souvenir shop.
Theres castles .....
...and ruins of once grand building
Country houses
Theres picturesque lakes and working trains ( the boys loved it , as it is controlled by a touch button switch)
and there are houseboats as well.
This is a very special building from my homeland: Torogan Maranao house that can be seen from far southern Island of Philippines. The Southern Islands of Mindanao has a very strong Moro Islamic culture ,the Spaniards was not able to fully colonized the far south because of the location and most of all the brave warriors . Which make the south island very unique.
Cockington Green is perfect for family there's plenty of things to see , there's also a playground and barbeque facilities .
We went to visit in winter because we don't really like walking around to much in hot weather. Canberra is also a perfect destination during winter when it's too cold to swim on the coast.
