Eating out in the City
We have dedicated this weekend to collect the stickers on our food diary. First stop brunch at Marigold if you want an authentic yumcha experience , this is the place to be . Its noisy, it's packed , the hostess is scary " you want to eat follow me " she demanded as we make our way to the table dodging the trolleys. But the food is yummy we can't really complain as we stuff our mouth with steamed dumplings. We picked salt and pepper squid , siomai, prawn hargow and most important yumcha item is the chicken feet in black bean sauce.
Then after brunch we walked from Chinatown to Town hall to burn the calories and search for Uncle Tetsu, the shop that sells japanese style cheesecake. There was a long wait
1 1/2 hours standing up along George street for this soft pillowy cake the shop was no bigger then four arm length by four arm length but was the pastry chef was super busy. There's a big hype however i find it a bit overrated or I just like my dessert sweet.
Then off we walked to World Square to pick up this ginormous box of donuts . The shop was sold out but we managed to get 6 donuts , creme brulee , golden gaytime , strawberry lamington and M&M's .
It has been fun walking and eating in the city!
