California Here We Come

My hubby and I are keeping a big secret, we have planned to make a childhood dream that we both have to finally come true. And this time it's not just us but for our three babies, after a few sleepless nights of researching the best deals and plotting the itinerary to see as much as we can in 16 days. I was so excited when i picked up the kids from school yesterday , they are excited too for the sleep in they didnt know that we are too wake up early on the 1st day of school holidays.

This is us when we left Sydney, we didn't really tell them where we are going, and this is when they realized that we got out of the train at Sydney International Airport .

Travel time to LA is about 16 hours , from LA airport we took a bus to Union train station catch the Pacific Surfliner the train that will take us to San Diego. Public transport in USA is not a good in Australia . In Sydney you can just get off the plane then down to the train.

The train trip to San Diego took about 2 hours, we had a glimpse of towns our train pass by as we approach San Diego the window view turns awesome the train is called surfliner as it travels along the Pacific Ocean.

Theres one thing we missed as well to check the weather and temperature on our destination. Since it's still winter in Sydney we thought it will be fall in America , however little that we know San Diego is hot !.

We finally reached Oceanside San Diego our home base for a few days , we are spending the first weekend here to visit Legoland and SeaWorld .

After checking in at the hotel we went shopping for more suitable clothing for the weather we picked up a few shorts and T shirt at DD's discount and groceries at Walmart and the 99 cents store .

All these amazing things are 99 cents , we have variety stores in OZ but it will never be 99 cents for everything .

It was almost Halloween and Walmart had so much stuff that we don't normally see in our groceries like different shapes of pumpkins and squash and ginormous candies .

The American grocery is already an attraction can't wait for our adventures on the coming days.
