Chocolate and Chicken for Valentines day

How did chocolate become connected to Valentine's Day ? I've read many stories and as lover of ancient history . I like to believe that it started by the Aztecs . Montezuma the boss of this magnificent civilisation serve the Spanish"conquistadors".

"a drink made of cacao, which they said was for succes with woman." the Spaniards brought lots of jars with it back to Spain as it was truly delicious, then got the whole world hooked on the feeling and high on believing that it was an aphrodisiac then the rest was history!

My hubby brought us to the Lindt Chocolate Factory Outlet at Marsden Park to pick our Valentine's day chocolate, how sweet.

We didn't pick and mix as this could be dangerously expensive. The box below was today's special buy one take one for $20, the bars are for $2 each.

After the chocolate picking we went to La Mono for lunch, it is located in Merrylands . The delicious smell of Lebanese style chicken blankets the air . My hubbybi have ordered the Mini mono , 2 lamb skewers in flat bread pocket with hummus, tabouli and pickles.

The deep fried cauliflower served with tahini dip was delicious, little Mr. no vegetables eat a few florets while waiting for the chicken. Sadly the camera run out of battery and the chicken did not have a chance to have a selfie . But it was delicious , perfectly grilled and tender and the garlic sauce was so smooth . What a lovely day to eat chicken and chocolates ! love you Mr. Ng!!
